QHY600 and problems setting offset via SGP

Setting up new QHY600 and cannot seem to configure SGP/ASCOM in a way that will allow me to set the offset via SGP (offset setting box is grey or only “NA” available).

Currently have installed (most recent for each as far as I know?):

  • SGP 4.0.0.680 64bit
  • ASCOM Platform 6.5 SP1 6.5.1.3234
  • QHY ASCOM Driver 21.3.11.12

Thought the offset settings via ASCOM thing had been resolved, but perhaps not for QHY cameras?

Appreciate suggestions anyone can throw my way.

Also - the QHY Support Forum no longer seems to exist? Or I can’t seem to find it anyway …

Hi Dave,

I don’t know whether it is related to your issue: for cameras manufactured by ZWO, we have to revert to an older ASCOM camera driver in order to be able to use the feature of changing the offset setting within a sequence and get the FITS keyword OFFSET written to the FITS header. See Unable to set Offset in event settings via ASCOM (ASI 2600MM Pro) and Latest ZWO ASCOM driver isn't supporting offset correctly - ZWO User Forum .

Thanks Bernd for the info.

I have just installed the latest QHY All-In-One beta driver (21_07_15_14) and the OFFSET setting from within SGP is working now.

Also - I am now doubting myself about my installation of previous QHY driver version. During many install screens, it presents a long list of options/checkboxes including ASCOM 6.4 and ASCOM 6.5. Wondering if perhaps I picked 6.4 instead of 6.5 by mistake?!

I am glad that it’s working for you now. I don’t own a QHY camera, so I cannot comment on reqirements of the QHY ASCOM camera driver. However, the forum user buzz has posted his experience here. If you search for “QHY @buzz” you will get several hits.
