I have a sequence that uses “Delay between” of 300 seconds where I want to take one image every 5 minutes for an asteroid project. I also have the Other Options directive to restart the current frame on guider error. Frequently a wind gust hits my scope triggering a restart but instead of restarting the current frame, SGP goes into the 5 minute timeout. I miss getting the current frame.
I tried it with a small dither and it still fails. Dithering or not does not seem to make a difference. I aborted and did Run Sequence to get an obs right after that. Check the time around 19:08:30 in the log wher it doesn’t look like the camera was restarted before it goes to sleep for the next interval.
Another issue: when the end time was reached during the delay, SGP waited the whole delay time before doing end action. This could be a problem if the scope, for example, runs into something. What about star lost due to clouds during the wait. Will SGP abort right then or wait until the time expires? It could rain.
Ok, thanks for the logs. I have been able to fix both of these items here. I wish I could fix them in all the releases right now, but due to some constraints, they will only be in the 4.5 alpha (stable enough to be beta I think) release (this weekend).
