Hi, I am a SGP PRO happy user for few years. Few months ago I moved my telescope to remote observatory and after this time I see that one SGP feature is missing for me.
When I run my sequence, I need to roughly set the focus so that the “Auto Focus” can work correctly in the subsequent steps of the sequence. I have defined focus points for each filter separately, so the sequence automatically corrects itself when changing filters before fine-tuning the focus. Up to this point, everything is OK. However, when the sequence ends its operation, for example on the Ha filter, the focuser remains in the position adequate for this filter. This is a certain, minor, but still a problem because at the beginning of the next session when the power is supplied to the filter wheel, the filter is automatically set to the first position (in my case it is L). However, the focuser remains in the last position which was adequate for the Ha filter. The difference in the focuser position for the L and Ha filters is so large that Auto Focus does not cope with automatic focusing after the first start of the sequence during a new session. For this reason, at the beginning of each session I have to correct the initial focus manually.
SOLUTION: new option to restore focuser position for filter no. 1 as the one of the steps of „run of end of sequence”
Hi…just saw your post and thought I could make a quick reply that may help you out. Not sure what version of SGP you are using but this feature has been there a long time…so pretty sure you will be able to find it in yours. Basically…set your focus position in the Filters tab (this is where you have set your offsets anyway)…then with this setting in the Focus Tab selected …the focuser should then start at whatever you have set for the Lum filter.
OMG! How could I miss this? That’s exactly what I need and ask for! Thank you very much!!
