Hello,
before I take flats I set a pre-event to park the telescope. But while the first flat is integrating the rotator is still rotating. Is there a way to add a delay before the flats start integration? Or maybe the integration waits until the rotator is no longer moving.
Sorry, I’m not fully understanding. I understand the individual pieces of your request, but I don’t understand how they relate. What does the pre-event park have to do with the integration not waiting for the rotation to complete? I completely understand that part about the integration waiting (and it already should… I’ll take a look), but confused about why you took a screen shot and described a park event. Also confused as to why the rotator is moving between events. It should only move in an automated between targets. Or maybe you are saying that the flats events was the first frame in the target when SGPro started it?
I need to park the telescope before taking flats since my flat box is mounted in front of the telescope when the telescope is in the park position.
I sent a screen shot of the pre-event dialog to show that there is no input field to set a time delay. I also assumed that SGP will completely park the telescope and wait for the rotator to stop before it continues the sequence.
When the mount is parking the rotator is rotating to some undefined position. I have no idea who is rotating the rotator? Maybe it is a combination of SGP and PWI4 software which compensates the field angle offset due to the Alt/Az configuration. But the rotator does not rotate to 0° but stops after some time at an arbitrary rotation. It would be nice if the rotator would always be at the same position e.g. 0° before taking the flats.
At the start of the sequence, in case the rotator has to rotate many degrees, it sometimes happens that SGP is starting integration of the first frame while the rotator is still running.
SGPro does not have any options to modify the rotator’s position between events (or even at the end of a sequence). I would guess that maybe because you have PWI mount and rotator that they are aware of each other and maybe PWI is “parking” the rotator when the mount is parked? I am not sure though.
In any case, SGPro is aware of the status of the mount and I will verify that the next event does not start until the park is complete.
You probably still remember the discussion we had with Kevin from Planewave regarding the mechanical angle and field angle. He never answered the question what happens to the rotator when the mount is parking.
I know there is currently no option in SGP to set the rotation at the end of a sequence or when the mount is parked but this might be useful in a future version.

I have tested beta 741. SGP now waits until the rotator has stopped before it is taking flats.
But at the start of a seqeunce (the first event) the rotator is still rotating and SGP is already integrating images.
