Cannot update Equipment Profile - RPC Server Error

Hello! I had been having trouble getting PHD2 to recognize my new guide camera -QHYCCD5III678. After much travail, it seems to be working.

However, when I went to update SGPro, my Equipment profile had vanished. When I try to reload it, I get “Initiating equipment profile manager. RPC server is unavailable (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8000706BA):

When I load anything and then try to save it, I get “Failed to save equipment profile! Object reference not set to an instance of the object”

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling SGPro, ASCOM, and PHD2, along with the drivers with the QHYCCD camera to no avail. Curiously, when I reinstall, the partial Equipment profile comes up, so the uninstall does not appear to wipe everything.

Previously, I had my SBIG ST402, Robofocus server, and Ioptron HEM44 mount all working from various Google searches in order to get the 32-bit Robofocus and SBIG drivers to work. The HEM44 is 64-bit.

Thank you for your assistance. Best regards.

Hello! I’ve completely uninstalled ASCOM 7 and SGPro 4. After reinstalling, I get the same error. The equipment profile error occurs even though no equipment is listed in the profile. Best regards.

Hello! This seems to be a Windows 11 issue. I did an update and that seemed to correct the issue. I was able to create the equipment profile without a problem.

My QSI 683 wsg-8 works perfectly on the current SGP on my Win 10 computer, but not so much on a new Win 11 BeeLink mini. Connected fine last night. Tonight I’m seeing this error: “RPC server is unavailable (Exception from HRESULT 0X800706 BA.)

what does this mean?
