Re the request to help save a sub, what can be done (just realized…) is if cloud is imminent, one can lower the exposure time in the sequencer…this should allow the sub to finish early…if one can anticipate pausing…yes?

No. Once an exposure has started, changing the time will only affect the next one (usually a hardware requirement). This is at the root of the problem for us and most of the reason I am not sure if partial subs will work across all cameras.
