After my old laptop crashed I got a relative new PC from a friend and installed SGP. All hardware (focuser, filter wheel, mount etc) connected just fine, except my SBIG STF8300M CCD. I keep getting an error saying “Error connecting to…”.

I’m assuming you’ve installed the SBIG drivers? Also I can’t recall if SBIG ever updated the older cameras to their 64bit drivers. Do you recall if you were using the 32bit version of SGP prior?

I did. Tried SGP 32 and 64 bits, the version I used on the old laptop, the latest version. No luck. Keep getting the same error. So frustrating that I’m thinking about moving to NINA because the camera is connecting just fine there.
I had the same issue. First, I had to update the drivers and firmware using the SBIG driver Checker program. Then I had to up the SBIG device driver in the “Device Manager”. Choose let me select, and update them from the drivers that were updated from the SBIG Driver Checker program. If you don’t have the SBIG DC you can upload it from the Diffraction Limited web site.
