Is the SBIG camera configured properly in SGPro?
Did you make sure that SGPro had a connection to the camera before attempting to loop in PHD2? In the logs provided there is no attempt to connect the camera in SGPro but maybe the wrong logs were sent.
yea im a complete newb to SGP. how do you even take a picture to see if its working? also i keep getting this pinpoint error “pinpoint le is licensed only for use within maxim dl and maxpoint”
i made sure all the equipment was connected then i connected PHD 2. im still getting the error. those were the right logs though.
hi
i got it working last night. dont know what i did but it worked. And it guided right, i been using maxim dl since january and it will not guide with that software.
finally guided right with phd2. i got more questions though. but this is a great accomplishment because i was beginning to think it was a bad mount. wooohooo
last night was terrible it wouldnt guide or anything. im using a ritchey chretien TPO 2800 focal length. the focus was horrible. i guess thats the collimation. it was a mess makes me want to quit. i have a refractor that is in for repair. it will be 60 days for them to look at it!
the focus is the main problem, im gettting terrible looking stars. its just a big hassle i dont know how anyone can dial in these big telescopes. i commend anyone that needs to collimate these big scopes. im done with this scope, its good for visual but astrophotography its not happening for me.
my vcurve is a straight line, hopefully my refractor will give me a good vcurve. if the refractor doesnt work i think im done, too much of a big hassle. i do like tinkering with equipment sometimes but not this much. i envy all of the people that do astrophotography even if its a bad picture. the work thats put into is commendable. also my pointing accuracy is terrible. i have an astro-physics mount and it sucks. the tech support gives you the same advice. they are not helpful at all. waste 8,000 bucks and the tech support is no good.
anyway ive said enough
