Sequence files are loaded/reloaded incorrectly

I’m on SGPro 3.1.0.254. It seems like when a sequence file is loaded/reloaded (for example when I make alterations to the order of targets and the list appears to reload), the sequences tends to get altered. Sometimes the filter that was configured in a target gets set to None, and sometimes the exposure duration gets set to 0 and so on.

@Ken @Jared

I am not sure how to submit a log file for this. This happens with any sequence file, but I am attaching one that I am currently using.

@rathijit

I will take a look… this behavior is probably caused by the recent optimizations.

I have noticed the same behaviour too

@rathijit @Xplode

Tried for over an hour to reproduce this issue, but I can’t seem to find the magic combination. Can you provide other details? How exactly where you modifying the sequence? If you were moving targets, were you using the arrow button or the right click menu? What did you observe changing in the sequence?

Right now i was imaging a target, wanted to modify another target and the current target reset to default on all values, very annoying behaviour

While I totally agree… can you be more explicit? Was a sequence running? Anything you did prior to clicking the target you wanted to edit?

A target was running, but it has happened earlier today too when no sequence was running.

@Ken

Same here. It happens whether a target is running or not, but happens more often if a target is running. I think it is triggered if, while editing a target in the list, another running target completes a subexposure and updates the progress while I am editing my target. One time a target was running and I made an edit to another target in the list, and as soon as the running target completed a sub, it caused the running target details to get reset (filter = None, exposure = 0, etc.). Another time, I was not running a target, but every couple of times I made edits to the sequence I would see other existing targets in the list getting affected randomly, but this is more rare than when a target is running. This is a major issue since I am not able to trust whether SGP will complete the run correctly or not.

The issue is triggered if I make any edits to the sequence. I have seen it happen if I use the arrow buttons to move the target around. It also happens if I click the gear icon next to a target and make changes to, say, the end time and save the changes.

I am baffled by this… I simply cannot reproduce this behavior. Could you please reproduce it in some way and send logs? Maybe there is some error in saving or some kind of clue.

@Xplode

When you see this behavior, how many targets are in the sequence? Maybe it doesn’t matter… looking for clues.

I have like 30-40 targets.
Because of the problems this caused i’ve had to revert back to 232

I upgraded to 254 this afternoon and in my sequence some of my targets had lost all filter target information as well as duration and number of frames…weird

You can see here, my M31 Mosaic frames have all been cleared out

@STAstro

Did do anything between starting SGPro and selecting the “M31-Mosaic-1” target?

No Nothing, after the upgrade I started SGPro, and it loaded my previous Sequence, and some of the targets were misssing the information, some targets were also displaying for example 32 frames total, because it had completed 32 out of 51, but the total was now 32 also

Upgrade to .272 also did the same thing, Prior to the update I had 12/51 for both Green and Blue, now it has cleared out the filters, duration and exposures again!!!

It has cleared out all my other targets too

@STAstro

Would you be able to send me the sequence you are using in the screenshot above?

@Ken

Sent you a link, it is too big to upload

Simon
