Sequence Generator Pro 4.6.0.1660 (BETA) (32-bit and 64-bit) is Released for Test
Hello! Welcome to the 4.X beta for SGPro. As always, we aim to ensure that even our betas are stable, but please know that we do find bugs during this process.
You can find it here:
Sequence Generator 4.6.0.1660
Additions
- Added a new ASTAP native setting that forces ASTAP to use the scale hint provided by SGPro instead of attempting to automatically determine image scale.
- Added a new tab to the Control Panel that presents all sequence shutdown options together in a single view.
- Added better diagnostic information for ASTAP solve failures.
- Added extensive debug tracing to the ASTAP plate solver.
- Added some additional diagnostic information when PS3 fails to load.
- Sequences can now run a user scripts on sequence start.
- The Mosaic and Framing Wizard now remembers last used angles and and panel overlap settings.
Changes
- Changed the way in which SGPro load the PlateSolve3 solver.
- Changed the way SGPro interfaces with PlateSolve3 such that it should be more resilient with Windows security issues.
- Exposure length for flat frames now supports up to 4 decimal places.
- Much better messaging when observatory shutter fails to close because the mount failed to park.
- Sequences with time gaps between targets will now stop mount tracking until the next target is ready to start.
- SGPro will no longer apply specified between frame delays to the first sub in a new target.
- The ASTAP solver no longer defaults to using the auto scale hint.
- When connecting the Safety Monitor as a result of starting a sequence, SGPro will no longer shut the sequence down if the initial signal is UNSAFE, but rather just proceed immediately to restart on SAFE.
Fixes
- A partial fix for a memory leak caused by large sequences that will ultimately crash SGPro.
- DSLR cameras that save both RAW and FITS images no longer create duplicative historical entries.
- Empty, disabled, or unavailable solver selections get an early configuration message.
- Fixed a couple minor textual display errors in the Planning Assistant.
- Fixed a potential image history deadlock seen more with very large camera images.
- Fixed a timing (race) issue that could cause an observatory shutter to close or equipment to disconnect but not both.
- Fixed all in-app links to ASTAP.
- Fixed an Equipment Profile Manager issue where a profile might only partially load due to a migration issue from SGPro 4.4 profiles.
- Fixed an image angle normalization issue for some ASTAP Native images.
- Fixed an initial connection UI reporting issue for FlatBox devices with shutters.
- Fixed an issue in the native ASTAP plate solver that might fail to properly convert the solved target angle to equatorial PA.
- Fixed an issue that would allow the target centering routine to proceed unimpeded by a failure to sync the telescope to the current position. This would cause the centering attempt to fail downstream and present an error that is more difficult to trroubleshoot.
- Fixed an issue where a plate solve might be considered as suspiciously bad in certain areas of the sky (math is hard)
- Fixed an issue where an UNSAFE state shutdown might be aborted by a guide start lost event in close proximity to the UNSAFE event.
- Fixed an issue where applying a profile to an existing sequence would overwrite the target angle settings.
- Fixed an issue where AutoFlats would fail if focus hints were available for use but no focuser was available.
- Fixed an issue where MFW sequences that auto rotate to target angles now properly select the sky value instead of mechanical.
- Fixed an issue where minimum auto focus fitment would appear to not save in equipment profiles.
- Fixed an issue where new targets would not inherit horizon options from the current User Profile.
- Fixed an issue where newer AstroBin targets would fail to import into SGPro.
- Fixed an issue where recent changes to an equipment profile that was then applied to the current sequence would apply values assigned to the old equipment profile.
- Fixed an issue where some buttons might look disabled until a mouse over event occurred.
- Fixed an issue where some equipment profiles may not load in SGPro 4.5
- Fixed an issue where starting Auto Focus manually might fail if an auto guider was not selected.
- Fixed an issue where the Apply Profile to Sequence function would not apply recent changes to equipment profiles to the sequence.
- Fixed an issue where the crosshairs display was no longer sticky between images displayed within the same tab.
- Fixed an issue where the Crosshairs option in Frame and Focus was no longer honored.
- Fixed an issue where the Equipment Profile Manager switch value were not editable because clicking them showed the switch properties instead.
- Fixed an issue where the Target Planning Assistant might not be able to open again after closing until reopening the Target Settings window.
- Fixed an issue where the use of a custom horizon in the Planning Assistant would not stick.
- Fixed an issue where where enabling start analysis via the image context menu would disable itself on the next fame.
- Fixed an issue with the ASTAP native solver where solving would fail on machines using commas as decimal separators.
- Fixed several UI state issues for dome slaving.
- Fixed some numerical parsing issues that may cause SGPro to classify valid ASTAP solves as failures.
- Fixed Stellarium copy and paste for locations text boxes in SGPro.
- Fixed the download link to PlateSolve3
- Mouse-cursor solving uses only enabled, click-capable solvers.
- Stabilized various focuser movements in the Auto Focus routine
- Temporarily restored AstroBin target import using public assets… until formal API access is restored.
