SGP 3.0.1.0 Stopped working

SGP has been working well until I tried connected to my QSI683 camera that wasnt attached to my laptop (it was late at night). SPG went away into never never land so I hard booted the laptop and now SGP will not start. It dumps Sequence Generator xxx . dmp file on start up

I have tried reinstalling 3.0.1.0
I have tried removing files from the AppData\Local\ Sequence Generator\ Sequence Generator Pro directory
I tried doing a Recover and Reset via CMD

I can reinstall version 2.6 which works. However the same issue continues when I reinstall 3.0.1.0
(Windows 10)

Dave, I can feel your frustration as I’ve had this happen many times. It’s pain in the you know what.

Anyways, here’s the fix.

Go to AppData> Local> Main_Sequence_Software> Sequence_Generator.exe_(bunch o letters)> 3.0.1.0

Now delete the user file.

Unfortunately this will erase all of your user settings. ’

What I did was once I reconfigured my layout and fixed everything, I went back to that user file and did a quick copy>paste of it.

Now if and when it crashes I just erase the user file, rename the copy to user and bang, good to go.

Oh, make another copy if you have to use the copy for next time it crashes. Which it will at some point.

Dave - really, with just QSI? I have been running a QSI683wsg for 4 years and hundreds of hours without one hitch - Win 7 and Win 10. There has to be something else going on.

The hardware connected to the usb hub was QSI683, Moonlight Litecrawler focuser and rotator and also Lodestar guide camera.

The usb hub was not connected to the laptop when I hit “Connect All” in SGP

All working now after deleting the user config file.
