After a Window update SGP PRO will not start after double clicking the shortcut icon.

I am not certain, but it looks like your ASCOM install may have been corrupted in some way during the update. You might be able to correct the issue by fully uninstalling ASCOM and then re-installing it.

You were right, uninstalling and reinstalling the ASCOM file fixed the problem.
