I recently installed the latest ASCOM platform (6.6 SP2) and found that SGP 4.3 or .4.4 would not run.
I then reverted back to ASCOM 6.6 SP1 and both SGP 4.3 and 4.4 both ran perfectly.
Is there a compatibility problem with ASCOM 6.6 SP2 and SGP??

There are no known compatibility issues with SP2. It’s what we use for dev and it’s old enough that it’s pretty well distributed at this point. If you’d like to share logs showing the failed start, we can help take a look. Unless you deleted them, the logs from the failed start are still on your system… you’ll just need to recall the date and time.
