I used v 1554 last night and it worked ok up until it lost the guide star. The time-out window popped up but never timed out, leaving the mount on until I got up. PHD2 was also left trying to track. I took some screenshots and tried to save the sequence at which point SGP hung. I saw this once before with a version beyond 1498, which is my go-to version in spite of other problems. The log is at:
Thanks for the report. I assume that was user intervention at approx 07:00? I’ve seen this issue before… it’s fully intermittent and is related to a failure (hang) in the actual window display system. It seems to be more readily apparent in remote desktop type apps, but has happened without as well. I think what I will attempt to do here is pull this dialog out of the critical path. In other words, I am not sure about how to fix the windowing issue hang, but, in the cases where it does happen, it won’t affect the sequence shutdown.

An attempt at addressing this issue is in 1556. Personally, I have never been able to reproduce this so it’s a fix based off of the descriptions, logs and screenshots of others (i.e. no guarantees here and it might be an iterative process)
