Gents,
Last night (Oct 07) my target was the Stevens Quintet, which I had been imaging for the last week, or so. Previous efforts had run the full sessions with no issues.
Last night’s session was from 8:44pm to 2:15am.
1.the Starizona autofocuser stopped after the 3rd focus at about 9:34pm.
2.It kept providing temp data until about 10:02pm.
3.The log shows focuser comm failure at 22:02:12.912 with subsequent disconnect.
However, SGPro kept imaging until 2:15am and the log file reported “auto focus complete” throughout the rest of the session.
My setup is with autofocus and includes every 1C change and every 50 minutes.
I appreciate that the problem with the focuser was a communication failure (probably a USB connection) and likely fixable on my end.
But I am curious why SGPro continued to run after the autofocus could not satisfy the every 50 minute autofocus requirement.
Also, how is the ambient temp (coming from the Starizona A/F) designated in the SGPro log?
Thanks,
Mark
