SGPro freezes on download with no way to interrupt?

Has anyone encountered the problem of SGPro freezing during a download when guiding with PHD2? The anatomy of the problem can be replicated consistently on my laptop. This is the order of events.

(1) I start SGPro and connect camera, filter, focuser, and telescope as usual.
(2) I start PHD2, calibrate, and guide on a selected star.
(3) In SGPro I start up a sequence and it starts imaging and downloading frames.

However… If I stop the sequence or especially I decide to do a quick frame and focus, SGPro completely freezes on download. It just says downloading and thats it… No image appears in the viewport and there seems no way of interrupting this process. The application is totally frozen. The only way I can reset things is to terminate the SGPro and PHD2 processes in the Task Manager, and sometimes I even need to reboot the computer to get back to where I should be. At the least, is the a fast ESC or interrupt so I can at least stop the download without the application freezing completely?
