The beauty is…everything works. I love this program!
Now I’m trying to fine tune my setup.
I’ve decided to use a bhatinov mask for focusing.
I’m shooting with a 36mp dslr at 200mm, so focus is pretty good for long periods.
But downloading 7 72mb RAW frames for focusing takes forever.
I havent been able to figure something out in SGP.
How do I run a sequence with no focusing?
I want SGP to acquire a subject via plate-solving.
Take a sequence of 15 Light frames.
Then move to another target and take more light frames.
It seems to fail due to my not having a focuser?
How do I tell SGP not to look for a focuser? Or not to focus if there is one?
thanks!
Malcolm
Are you saying that the sequence is calling for an autofocus run even though you do NOT have an autofocuser?
If that is the case make sure your equipment profile does not have an autofocuser included in it. In the equipment profile select the ‘focus’ tab and under focuser select ‘none’. Also make sure that “Use auto focus” is NOT ticked.
Dont forget to either apply the corrected profile to your sequence or create a new sequence with that profile.
You will find “Apply profile to sequence” under the main ‘File’ tab. That will apply the selected equipment profile to whatever sequence you have open at the time. This is an important concept often mis-understood.
