The current set of switch state delays do not provide for the case where a device is turned on and does not provide an effective ready status back to SGP. SGP then tries to connect to the device and fails. There is recovery for this in SGP, and it works, but a better approach would be to provide a delay between setting the switch state and connecting to the device. That way, the many error messages and timeouts that now occur can be avoided.
A capability to run a sequence but not actually start until a specified time would eliminate having to turn devices on long before they are needed. This would be very useful in the case of sequences needed for special events. The current set of switch/start capabilities do not allow this.
