I want to start a sequence at the start time specified in the target settings with switches being turned on at or near that time so devices can remain off until needed. I thought Ken made a change to allow that in the Global Switch properties. I tried using the ordering delays, but it looks like they are only to allow a time BETWEEN switch settings, not between “Run Sequence” and target start.
Does SGP have the capability to set switches at target start? How do I do it?
Using the Global Switch Property “Sequencing Delay” set to 10 seconds, SGP attempts to connect to the camera immediately and fails. The camera takes some time to initialize after power is applied. Shouldn’t SGP wait those 10 seconds before trying to connect?
Did you maybe include the wrong logs here? That one doesn’t show a sequence start.
In any case, to answer your question:
Yes, All switch states set immediately and then ten seconds later, the sequence is validated and, if gear is not present connections are automatically attempted. I just tried it here again and seems to work OK, but there may be cases I have not yet considered.
