Sync Behavior option SW EQ6-R Pro and/or AP Mach 1 GTO CP4

Hello All,

For those of you using either a SW EQ6-R Pro or AP Mach 1 GTO CP4 mounts, I would appreciate if you could please help me with the following:

Regarding Sync Behavior option (telescope tab), please let me know which option should I use for them: SYNC, TARGER OFFSET or SCOPE OFFSET?

RIG 1:

  1. OTA: SW Esprit 100 ED
  2. Mount: SW EQ6-R Pro controlled via EQMOD (V2.00q)
  3. PHD2-V2.6.9
  4. 60mm guide scope with a QHY5III-178mm guide camera

RIG 2:

  1. OTA: Celestron 9.25 Edge HD
  2. Mount: AP Mach 1 GTO CP4 controlled via ASCOM V2 Telescope Driver V5.30.10 (Don’t use APCC software)
  3. PHD2-V2.6.9
  4. Celestron OAG with a ZWO ASI 174mini-mono

Also, please let me know if there any special setting in the EQMOD or ASCOM V2 drivers/applications I should consider to ensure the SGP Sync Behavior feature works as expected.

Thanks and clear skies,
Diego G

In general you just want to use “SYNC”. The exception to that is if you were using something like a T-Point model where syncs could be problematic

As for EQMOD please see here:

Thank you Jared for fast response!
