Sync Behaviour - Mesu 200

I have recently updated to the .11 beta and I notice that there is a new dialogue under ‘Telescope’ - namely options for ‘Sync Behaviour’. In the past, when I centred, SGP would plate solve and then a Sitech.exe dialogue box would open asking me to do either an ‘Offset Init’ or a ‘Calstar Init’. Clicking ‘Offset Init’ would get everything up and running.

With the new beta, however, there was no Sitech dialogue box - things just got going. This may be better, of course, so long as I have the right option chosen. The one chosen by default was “Target Offset” - is this the correct choice, or should I go for “Sync”, “Scope Offset” or “None”?

Thanks in anticipation…

“Sync” is almost always the correct option unless you specifically know you need one of the others.

The other options will not always physically sync your mount and thus the reason you’re not seeing the dialog pop-up.

Thanks

Thanks. I will try that setting. I assume that the Sitech dialogue should still appear then if everything is working normally?

Correct, the behavior should be the same as it previously was.

Thanks,
Jared

And just to confirm, that I have set it to ‘Sync’ and it is working normally.

Thanks again Jared.
