Target coordinates

how do you get the target coordinates for a sequence. i have stellarium but that doesnt work with sgpro,

do i have to manually put in the coordinates, is there a way i can get the coordinates to automatically be put in?

I thought we were compatible with Copy / Paste of coordinates from Stellarium but possibly I am misremembering. If that doesn’t work to Ctrl + C from Stellarium and then Ctrl + V into SGPro target coordinates, you can Ctrl + C from Stellarium and then Ctrl + V into a response on this thread so I can see the formatting of the coordinates it copies to the clipboard, I’ll be able to add compatibility for it.

Other methods to get coordinates into the Target without typing:

  • Use the Mosaic and Framing Wizard. Find your target, frame it and make a sequence from it.
  • Find and use a version of your target on AstroBin or Telescopius and import the coordinates directly into your target.

Ken, here is the result of Stellarium target NGC2903 using control-shift-c to copy. It would be nice to have a import option.

NGC 2903 - PGC 27077 - UGC 5079

Type: active galaxy (SAB(rs)bc)

Thanks. The next 4.5 release (soon) will have this repaired. SGPro has always supported Stellarium copy / paste but it looks like the structure of text has changed and it’s been updated.
