I thought I had SGP under my belt, but that now was with mono cameras and filters. Last night I went out to try an do a test sequence run with SGP and my new ZWO ASI1600 MCS Color CMOS camera. I used the ASI Camera 1 as the camera in SGP. I selected Filter Wheel - NONE. When I started my SGP sequence, I got this error about not having any filter wheel. Well I don’t want a filter wheel with a one shot camera! Any ideas what I’m missing here? Many thanks in adavance. Here’s the error…(Can’t paste the screen error!)
It says: “No filter wheel is selected. Please select a filter wheel and try again. This sequence requires a filter wheel to run: - Sequence uses auto center filter override (and has light frames)”
This happens when there is a reference to a given filter in one of the settings for Autofocus (“Autofocus with filter” should be unchecked) or for the plate solver (“Use filter” should be unchecked).
Also if there are any “light” events that don’t have none. From memory, even if complete/unchecked?
I got this error when trying to use a existing asi1600 mono sequence with asi1600 color, and yes had to do all of the above post AND deal with existing events in the sequence.
Yes…thanks for all the help. I did get it resolved in a convoluted manner. There are a few places to go to “turn on/off” items in SGP. I think they could make it a bit more “ergonomic” when changing equipment parameters. Having said that…it’s (SGP) still an excellent program.
I have now gone through all of my various image trains in the Equipment Profile to check whether or not there should be a filter wheel or not and then ran some daytime tests that didn’t show any error. However, that’s in the daytime, I hope the night time scourge does’t set upon me again tonight. Thanks everyone!
