Using flip flat panel; can I delay flat sequence to allow panel to change brightness first?

My Flip-Flat panel (deepskydad FP2) takes between 2-5 s to change brightness levels after the order is sent to it. It would be really great to have a way (if none exist now) to add a delay feature for taking flats that allows the panel to reach correct brightness before integration is started. This would also be necessary for the Auto-Flat routine as well. I ran auto flats and my flats didn’t look good, and I believe it is because of this panel delay to obtain set brightness first.

Also, is there a pre-integration script that would help with this?

Any help or hacks for this issue would be truly welcome, as I am getting ready to set up in a remote observatory, and I need to get this handled.

thanks,

John L

Typically we recommend using AutoFlats for tasks like this. It’ll work to manage your brightness for you so you don’t need to worry about it.
