Equipment profile error

Hi
Tonight I had all setup ready to go, but my dome wouldn’t slave to the scope. I checked a few things in SGP and assumed it was me, but using the ASCOM device hub the dome slaved to the scope no problems. So I checked back in SGP equipment profile manager and had this error.

I brought my computer home from the observatory and loaded sgp, but there is no longer any error when I try to load the SX814C profile, but I note the camera information has ‘gone’ from the profile.

Any help much appreciated.
Paul

perhaps I should add that the equipment seemed to connect successfully, I connected the camera, scope and dome. In the equipment profile manager, There was another message which appeared when I clicked the SX814C profile which I’m sorry I didn’t capture - a warning message to say the profile was only partially loaded.

I’m not sure off hand. This error is related to the underlying framework ASCOM uses so it’s definitely related to that. The disappearance of the camera data might indicate it as the source of the issues but I’m unsure. Happy to look at logs you want to send them over… might be other hints within them.

ok thanks Ken, I’ll see how it goes tonight and if the error persists, I’ll find some logs. I have been having connection issues with my camera since I purchased it, so it would be unsurprising if it were related to that. We’ll see I guess.
thanks for help,
Paul

Also Ken, when running an autofocus routine last night, I noticed that in ‘focus information’ the current position didn’t change when I clicked coarse in / out on the UI. I could hear the focuser moving, but the position wasn’t reported, it just stayed fixed at 30,000. I checked the focuser electronics box which has an LED display and things seemd to be working as expected there. Any thoughts on that please?
thanks,
Paul
